Tips for taking your pet on holiday
As the UK begins to ease out of lockdown, more families are beginning to travel and take holidays in the UK. Current restrictions on foreign travel are expected to remain in place for quite some time which means that most of us will be holidaying at home or having a ‘staycation’ - and with a record number of dogs and puppies being bought or adopted during lockdown, many of us will also be holidaying with our pet for the first time too. Preparing to travel with your pet The RSPCA’s pet welfare expert Dr Samantha Gaines says that if...
The Puppy Diaries – The Eleventh Month
This is the eighth instalment of our puppy diary, featuring Murdock the lurcher puppy, with candid insights and practical tips on welcoming a dog into your home. Birthday on the beach Since the last blog, Murdock hit a big milestone in his life. He turned one on the 30th April! To mark the occasion, we had a meet-up on the beach with some of his family members and it was tremendous fun. As a lockdown puppy Murdock can be a little nervous around people and dogs that he doesn’t know but he didn't seem to mind anything or anyone on...

We love our pets and like to give them treats but this isn’t always a good thing. Overindulging can cause ongoing health problems for both of you and if you suspect your dog may have piled on a few pounds it is better to address the issue sooner rather than later. According to the Blue Cross, most pet dogs have considerably more...
The ten most popular dog breeds of 2021
Research from dog care website, rover.com has revealed some of the nation’s favourite breeds of dog and identified which are becoming more popular. At the top of the list were mixed breeds, closely followed by Labrador Retrievers – which are still the country’s favourite pedigree dog breed. Jack Russell terriers and Cocker Spaniels are also becoming more popular. For the latter, this may be due to the popularity of crossbreeds bred from two pedigree dogs. One of which also made the list – the Cockapoo, which is a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Miniature Poodle. Talking about the...
