How to help your dog get used to seeing people in a face mask
At the moment in the UK it is compulsory to wear a face mask in many enclosed public spaces, including public transport, museums, galleries, shops, supermarkets and shopping centres. A growing number of people are also wearing face coverings in other public spaces - such as parks and high streets - in order to protect themselves and others from spreading coronavirus. Whilst this is great for preventing the pandemic, some dogs may feel anxious or afraid if they see someone wearing a face mask and they may need you help to understand that everything is OK. How to teach your dog to settle
The UK is preparing for the return to school in a few weeks - when most of our children have been at home since March. This will be a big change for our pets too. Which is why it is important to start training now, to make sure that your dog doesn’t get overwhelmed with stress or anxiety once they are suddenly left on their own again. ldog Photo by Alexandru Sofronie on Unsplash Getting ready to be left alone Before you start...
Breaking News: Dogs make you more attractive
This week we were intrigued to read about a new survey from online marketplace OnBuy which revealed that 73% of people agree that seeing an animal in an online dating profile picture instantly makes someone more attractive. Dogs make you look good The study then went further, asking 4,268 people to ‘pick the specific animals that would increase their likelihood of picking someone with said animal’ in order to ascertain which pets make people more attractive in their online profile picture. The clear winner was dogs. Dog lover Photo by La Miko from Pexels So do cats…and farm animals 84% of respondents said...

Beau was a very special dog and we have been taking the time to find the right dog for us, to suit our lifestyle and temperament. A dog that could become an integral part of our family, like Beau...
New study reveals that we may not know our pets as well as we think
How well do you know your dog or cat – are you able to understand their needs? According to a new study by the Royal School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh, some of us may not know our animals half as well as we think. Researchers have found that there is quite a knowledge gap when it comes to understanding what our animals need and what is best for them when it comes to their welfare.
